390 RTR Tower Access Harness

Together with Ropes That Rescue Ltd., we designed this harness to meet the demands of the transmission line worker, structural access professional and arborist.

In conjunction with transmission line rope access pioneer, Reed Thorne of Ropes That Rescue and other western utilities like Pacific Gas & Electric, Yates has designed the 390 RTR harness to meet the needs of the transmission tower worker who is utilizing rope access techniques. It also excels as a technical and rope rescue harness. The 390 RTR Harness is designed and recommended for helicopter external load short haul work. Wide anatomical waist pad for increased comfort and added back support. Modular work/tool pouch system allows the user to customize each harness to their own arrangement. Easily adjustable for variations in clothing by use of camlock buckles. Attachment points at waist, hips, chest, back (lumbar) and back (dorsal). Extra large, side positioning rings (lineman style) allow the user to easily make connections to safety belt. Chest harness specifically designed to incorporate a chest ascender (not included) for tower access work and is specially tailored to reduce chafing of the neck. Weight 6 lb. 11 oz (3 kg). Removable contoured shoulder pads included with standard 390 Harness.  Petzl S & L Auxillary Caiitool Tool Holders and Yates Tool Holsters sold separately.
Dual Layer extra wide waist 9" (23 cm) waist pad system for added lumbar support. Outer layer of waist pad is constructed of stiff high density foam for support while the inside layer is made from softer foam for comfort. Additional Cummerbund front closure keeps harness secure and gives added support to lumbar area similar to "weight lifting belts".
Also available in Kevlar webbing version for welding at height (item 390K) as well as a specialized version designed and rated for arc flash safety scenarios (item 390FRA).

• Sizes S, M, L, XL
• Removable contoured shoulder pads included.

UL Classified to meet NFPA 1983/2012 edition standards
